DISD Trustee Jaime Resendez, busted living in a house outside of his representative district, is giving up his seat on the Board. BSM discovered Resendez living in a home he had purchased in 2017. The problem is, the new home is outside of his representative district and state law clearly states that if an elected representative lives outside of his district he must vacate that seat. DISD attorneys agreed and Resendez, who is running for Dallas City Council, has decided not to fight the ruling. Trustees will appoint his successor.
